The year is 2020, March was the month that the world seemed to stop. A terrible virus called Corona was sweeping through the world country by country. Before it could take hold of New Zealand, our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern called for a level 4 lockdown. This means that for 4 weeks, all businesses (except essential services) and schools are closed. People are being asked to stay in their homes and stay with their bubble so that the virus can not spread.
Hi my name is kora and in my bubble is me and my mum.
I have been helping out with baking and cooking a lot. I have baked a cinnamon cake and a chocolate cake. I also made a Weetbix slice. We did not take any photos but next time i will try to remember It was really fun to cook with my mum.
I’ve been learning how to skate. It's really fun and I can go really fast.
And we went for a walk on the beach and saw the moon. It was really pretty but I fell on a big piece of driftwood and my pants got really muddy. In these two weeks, I have also changed my room around. I also have my teddy bears in my window for people to see as they walk past.
I have not really done a lot but play games with my mum and I would play on my phone all day (I don't know why )but my lockdown has been pretty good. My birthday was on lockdown so it was not the best birthday but it was fine and I had lots of fun. I built a lot of lego that I got for my birthday. My friends and family video called me to sing me happy birthday.
I can't wait to go to school because I wanna see my friends again.
